Welcome to Cosplay Quest!
Bring fandom into your homeschool! This 8-week project turns your learner’s love of characters and costumes into hands-on creativity, problem-solving, and confidence.
About this Project
Fuel your child’s creativity and watch them step into a world of imagination. In this 8-week project, your learner will dive into the art of cosplay - designing and creating a costume inspired by their favourite character or their own original design.
Along the way, they’ll practice problem-solving, design thinking, and hands-on making skills, while exploring how fandom can be a powerful spark for learning.
We’ve designed this project to be curriculum-aligned, neuro-affirming, and flexible, so you can stress less and enjoy the process together.
What Your Learner Will Do
Over the 8 weeks, your learner will:
Explore different cosplay styles and inspirations.
Research characters, designs, and creative materials.
Learn about costume planning, sketching, and prototyping.
Experiment with different making techniques (fabric, foam, paper, upcycled materials).
Practice safe use of tools and materials.
Build confidence by designing, constructing, and sharing their finished cosplay piece.
Whether your child dreams of becoming a costume designer, an artist, or just loves a fandom and dressing up, this project gives them the freedom to create while building real-world skills.
