Slime Lab

Hands-on science with a creative twist.

Step inside Slime Lab HQ — the top-secret lab where new slime ideas are discovered every day.

In this 4-week mini project, your learner explores textures, tests ingredients, investigates variables, and designs a slime product ready for “release.”

Whether they love sensory play, experiments, or creative design, Slime Lab gives them a complete slime journey from first squish to final formula.

About This Mini Project

Slime Lab invites learners to experiment like scientists and create like designers.

Across four playful weeks, they’ll:

  • make and test their first slime

  • observe how slime changes and behaves

  • explore variables by tweaking one thing at a time

  • design a custom slime based on a creative client brief

  • build a DIY slime kit

  • launch their final slime with a name, label, and formula

Each step is flexible, neuro-affirming, and designed to let your learner choose how they record and share their discoveries. Their Slime Lab Log becomes a personalised record of data, tests, sketches, reflections, and creations.

This mini project is light, joyful, and accessible — perfect for learners who thrive on hands-on tasks, sensory exploration, or creative science.

What Your Learner Will Do

Over four weeks, your learner will:

  • Join Slime HQ as a Junior Slime Developer

  • Create and describe their first test slime

  • Collect data through stretch and bounce trials

  • Compare batches and notice how variables affect slime

  • Invent a customer and design a slime to match their brief

  • Use planners and templates like the Batch Tracker, Scorecard, Slime Brief Generator, and Pitch Planner to support their thinking and creativity

  • Build a DIY Slime Kit and prepare their final slime for launch

  • Celebrate with a final reflection and showcase

Each week offers core missions plus optional bonus missions, so your learner can go deep, go wide, or keep things simple.
