Slime Lab | 4-Week Home Education Mini Project

$30.00

Prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD). For UK families, that’s about £15. Your card will process the payment in AUD, but your bank will show the equivalent in GBP.

Hands-on science meets creative design — in the squishiest project ever.

In this 4-week mini project, your learner becomes a Junior Slime Developer at Slime HQ. They’ll test slime ingredients, experiment with variables, run simple investigations, design a custom slime product, and build a Slime Lab Log filled with discoveries and creations.

Whether they love sensory play, science experiments, textures, or designing their own products, Slime Lab offers a joyful, flexible learning experience that adapts beautifully to their interests.

About This Mini Project

Slime Lab is playful science with a creative twist. Each week guides your learner through a different stage of the slime journey: exploring textures, testing changes, tweaking formulas, following a client brief, and finally designing a DIY slime kit ready for “release.”

Throughout the project, your learner builds their Slime Lab Log — a record of sketches, tests, stretch trials, slime batches, prototypes, ratings, and reflections. It becomes a fun, flexible capture of their learning in whatever format suits them best.

Slime Lab works beautifully for hands-on learners, sensory seekers, creative kids, experimenters, and anyone who likes to test ideas their own way. It’s also ideal for learners who find worksheets overwhelming — because this mini project makes science feel playful, accessible, and low-pressure.

We’ve designed Slime Lab to be curriculum-aligned, neuro-affirming, and deeply flexible, so you can enjoy meaningful, interest-led learning without stress.

What’s Inside

When you purchase Slime Lab, you’ll receive four ready-to-use digital resources:

Parent Guide

A clear weekly overview, neuro-affirming adjustments, safety notes, optional extension ideas, materials guidance, and support for capturing learning in flexible ways.

Student Guide

Written directly to your learner, with warm, child-friendly missions, clear prompts, playful tools, and lots of choice in how learning is explored and recorded.

Resource List

A calm, flexible list of suggested materials and optional resources, designed to minimise pressure and support sensory-friendly choices.

Learning Log

A simple log for parents to record observations, notes, and examples of learning across the project.

What Your Learner Will Do

Over the 4 weeks, your learner will:

  • Make their first test slime and record observations.

  • Test stretch, bounce, texture, and behaviour using simple tools.

  • Experiment with variables by changing one ingredient or step at a time.

  • Compare batches and discover how slime reacts to different choices.

  • Develop a custom slime formula to match a client request.

  • Score and evaluate their slime using the Product Scorecard.

  • Build a DIY Slime Kit with ingredients, steps, and label design.

  • Share their creation through photos, videos, drawings, a pitch, or any format they enjoy.

By the end, your learner will have a complete Slime Lab Log — a messy, magical, meaningful record of their scientific thinking and creative design.
